⚠️ Important Notice
MeltyMap hosts and shares user-generated content. Users can upload images, create bead patterns, and choose to share those patterns publicly on our platform. When patterns are shared, they are stored on our servers and made available to other users.
If you believe that content hosted on MeltyMap infringes your copyright, please follow the process below to file a DMCA takedown notice. We will respond promptly to valid requests and remove infringing content.
MeltyMap respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This page outlines our policy and procedures for handling copyright infringement claims.
Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you are a copyright owner or authorized agent and believe that content processed through our Service infringes your copyright, please provide the following information in writing:
Required Information:
- Identification of the copyrighted work: Provide a description or link to the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of infringing activity: Describe how our Service is being used to infringe (e.g., "users are uploading images of [specific copyrighted character/artwork]"). Since we don't store content, you may need to provide evidence such as screenshots or links to public posts where users share patterns created from your copyrighted material.
- Your contact information: Full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good faith statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement: A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Electronic signature: Your physical or electronic signature.
📧 How to Submit
Please send your DMCA takedown notice to:
Note: Please include "DMCA Takedown Request" in the subject line of your email.
Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was mistakenly flagged, you may file a counter-notification. However, since we don't store user content, counter-notifications are typically not applicable to our Service.
Repeat Infringers
We reserve the right to terminate access to our Service for users who repeatedly infringe copyright, to the extent we are able to identify such users.
What We Can Do
Because all image processing happens locally in users' browsers, we cannot:
- Remove specific user-uploaded images (we never receive them)
- Delete generated patterns from user devices
- Block access to specific copyrighted content at the upload stage
However, we can:
- Add warnings or filters to discourage copyright infringement
- Update our Terms of Service to explicitly prohibit specific uses
- Implement technical measures to detect and warn about potential copyright issues (if technically feasible)
- Take action against repeat offenders if we can identify them
False Claims
Making a false DMCA claim can result in liability for damages, including costs and attorney fees. Please ensure you have a valid copyright claim before filing a notice.
Response Time
We will respond to valid DMCA notices as promptly as possible, typically within 1-2 business days. We will acknowledge receipt of your notice and inform you of any actions we can take.
